Panasonic New Zealand launches Viera and goes with iTV again

itv.jpgHot on the heels of Panasonic’s successful Channel 222 Revolution iTV campaign, (itself a first for New Zealand), Panasonic have opted to use iTV again. Nigel Keats and Lee Parkinson, two of TOUCH/CAST’s founders were the planners of the original campaign and are behind this new iTV venture as well.

This time however the new Panasonic Home Entertainment iTV presence has been designed to support the recent Viera flat panel TV campaign developed by Clemenger BBDO.

The new iTV presence (accessible again on Sky Channel 222) provides detailed information on Panasonic’s Viera TVs and DVD recorders, and takes the opportunity to explain the benefits of the products, dispelling some myths about plasma and LCD TVs, showing the product range and pricing, as well as allowing visitors to enter a competition to win some great Panasonic home entertainment prizes.

Says Lee Parkinson of TOUCH/CAST, “The new TVCs provide a powerful emotional brand connection; whereas the iTV component satisfies the more logical, information seeker in us all, hugely important in this category where the products are high ticket items. The combined approach strengthens the consumer’s overall engagement with the Panasonic brand, the category and Viera product range, at both a head and heart level”.

TOUCH/CAST partnered with iTV Solutions to build the new application for Panasonic.
